Locating that Special Bottle
Living in the Kansas City area presents a unique situation for purchasing wine, spirits, and beer. Liquor distribution in Kansas and Missouri is through a three-tier system. That is, alcohol is distributed from manufacturer to distributor to retailer. Since distributors are licensed by state, stores in Kansas and Missouri purchase from different distributors. Furthermore, distributors do not carry the same selection of product state by state. Therefore, a wine enjoyed at a restaurant on the Plaza (in Missouri) might not be available for purchase in our stores in Lenexa or Prairie Village. Vice versa, your favorite spirit might not be found on the shelf at a store in Missouri.
At Rimann Liquors we will gladly research any wines, spirits, or beers not stocked in our stores to ascertain if they are available to be ordered through our distributors. We fill special orders of any size, from a single bottle to multiple cases. While it is illegal for alcohol to be shipped directly to consumers in Kansas, certain wineries with no current distribution are eligible to be registered with the state for their wine to be purchased and then shipped to our stores for pick-up.
