Chewy Cherry Brownies Created by Jon Payne 2 cups sugar 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 cup baking cocoa 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 cup vegetable oil 3 eggs 2 tablespoons light corn syrup 1 tablespoon Monin cherry syrup 2 cup confectioners’ sugar 1/2 cup Monin cherry syrup
Directions In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder and set aside. In a mixing bowl mix together the oil, eggs, corn syrup and Monin cherry syrup; add to dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix well. Spread in a greased 13-in.x 9-in.x 2-in. baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25-27 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Whisk together the confectioners’ sugar and the Monin cherry syrup to make the glaze. Spoon into a zip loc bag and cut the tip of the corner off and squeeze over the cooled brownie squares.
