LEMON DROP COOKIES

1 stick butter |

1 cup granulated sugar |

2 eggs |

|
2 cups all-purpose flour |

1 teaspoon cream of tartar |

|
1 teaspoon baking soda |

|
1 teaspoon salt |

|
1 cup white sugar (for sprinkling or rolling) |

|
1 lemon, zest and the juice |

|
½ cup Lemon Monin syrup |

|
½ cup vodka |

|
3 cups confectioners’ sugar |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Cream the butter and sugar. Add eggs beat well, and then add the lemon zest and juice. Add dry ingredients a little at a time. Drop by teaspoons on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Roll or sprinkle w/sugar and bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Do not overcook. Cool on racks.
While the cookies are cooling whisk together your confectioners’ sugar, lemon Monin syrup, and the vodka. Put in a Ziploc bag and cut the tip and squeeze over the cookies. |
