Pumpkin Bread with a

Pumpkin Spice Rum Glaze

1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree

1 cup vegetable oil

4 eggs

3 ½ cup all-purpose flour

3 cups sugar

1 ½ teaspoons baking soda

1 ½ teaspoons salt

1 ½ ground nutmeg

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

4 tablespoons Monin Pumpkin Spice Syrup

¾ cup Pitu’ Rum

½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)

1 teaspoon baking powder

Glaze

1 cup confectioners’ sugar

½ cup Monin Pumpkin Spice Syrup

1 cup Pitu’ Rum

Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.

In a mixer combine pumpkin, oil, Monin Pumpkin Spice Syrup, Pitu’ Rum and eggs.  Sift together all the dry ingredients.  Combine the dry ingredients into the pumpkin mixture.

Pour into 2 greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pans and bake 45-an hour.  Start checking the bread around 45minutes by sticking tooth picks in the center.  When they come out smooth, the loaves are done.  Cut the loaves into slices and drizzle the glaze over the warm pumpkin bread.

Glaze:

Whisk together the confectioners’ sugar, Monin Pumpkin Spice and Pitu’ Rum.
