This wine is a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged 1 year in oak and 6 months in bottle, its full body and lush, fruity flavor make this a perfect match for cheese, pizza, pasta and all meat dishes.

Viva Italian!!

Fire up the grill for this Italian Classic Pizza. 

Grilled Antipasto Pizza

Prep Time: 30 minutes

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Servings:  8 people  

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/4 lb small whole mushrooms (1 1/2 cups)
  • 1/4 cup Italian dressing
  • 1 medium yellow bell pepper, cut into 8 pieces
  • 1 package (14 oz) prebaked original Italian pizza crust (12 inches)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (4 oz)
  • 2 plum (Roma) tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 4 medium green onions, sliced (1/4 cup)
  • 1/4 cup sliced ripe olives

 DIRECTIONS:

 

Heat gas or charcoal grill.  In medium bowl, toss mushrooms, bell pepper and 2 tablespoons of the dressing.  Place vegetables in grill basket or heavy duty foil with a few holes poked in it.

Place grill basket on grill over medium heat. Cover grill; cook 4 - 6 minutes, shaking grill basket to turn vegetables occasionally, until bell pepper is crisp-tender.

Brush pizza crust with remaining 2 tablespoons dressing. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup of the cheese.  Arrange tomatoes on cheese.  Top with grilled vegetables, onions, olives and remaining 1/2 cup cheese.

 

Place pizza directly on grill over medium heat.  Cover grill; cook 8 - 10 minutes or until crust is crisp and cheese is melted.

Grilled Spring Vegetables

Cook Time:  15 minutes

Servings: 8 people

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 pound asparagus
  • 1 pound green beans
  • 1/2 pound mushrooms, cut in half
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts

HERB BUTTER:

  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh or 2 teaspoons dried leaves
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives

 DIRECTIONS:

 

Heat coals or gas grill for direct heat.

In large bowl, mix all Herb Butter ingredients.  Add remaining ingredients except walnuts; toss to coat with butter.

Place vegetables in grill basket or heavy duty foil with a few small holes poked in it.  Cover and grill vegetables 5 inches from medium heat 6 to 8 minutes, turning vegetables once or twice, until tender.

Sprinkle with walnuts.

 

A new twist on lemonade!!

Blood Orange Lemonade

SERVING: 6

  • 6oz Monin Blood Orange flavoring syrup

  • 1 quart of lemonade

  • 12 oz orange juice (not concentrate)

  • ice

In a large pitcher combine Monin Blood Orange flavoring syrup, lemonade and orange juice.  Mix well.  Pour in glass over ice.
