Bloody Mary Recipe for 6
There are many Bloody Mary recipes, but none varies from another very much. Still, this is a really good one.
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups tomato juice
2 1/2 cups Spicy V8 juice (or the like)
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (or to taste)
Salt and pepper
Ice cubes
6 celery stalks
vodka
Directions:
Chill all the liquid ingredients. In a large pitcher, stir together the juices, vodka, Worcestershire, and hot pepper sauce. Add salt and pepper to taste. Fill the pitcher with ice and stir. Strain into glasses and garnish with a celery stalk.
Virgin Mary: Omit the vodka.
Brunch Punch
This punch is very much like the Bloody Mary recipe, but made with rum instead of vodka. Serve it out of a pitcher or two, if you like, instead of a punch bowl.
Ingredients
3 quarts tomato juice
1 liter (about 4 1/4 cups) light or dark rum
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup fresh lemon or lime juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Sliced lemons or limes for garnish
Directions:
Chill all the liquid ingredients. Combine all ingredients in a punch bowl or other large container. Float an ice mold or small block of ice. Float thin-sliced lemons or limes for garnish.
Mulled Cider with Apple Brandy
Ingredients:
1 gallon fresh apple cider
2 cinnamon sticks
12 cloves
4 cardamom pods
One and one-half cups apple brandy
Lemon, orange slices and cinnamon sticks for garnish
Directions:
Place the cider in a large, heavy pot or kettle. Place the cinnamon sticks, cloves and cardamon pods in the center of a square of cheesecloth. Bring the ends of the cheesecloth together and tie securely with kitchen twine. Add to the cider. Simmer the cider for 30 minutes to 3 hours (the longer the better) and skim any foam that rises to the surface. When ready to serve, stir in the apple brandy and return to a simmer. Serve the cider in heated mugs garnished with a slice of lemon, orange and cinnamon stick.
These drinks taste just as good without the alcohol and you might want to make an extra batch for the kids while you're making your own.

Big Game Punch
Make a gallon of this punch to share with your friends!
Ingredients:
2 quarts cranberry juice
1 pound clementines, not peeled, and cut into slices
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
1 quart lemon-lime soda (recommended: Sprite)
1 liter spiced rum (recommended: Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum)
Directions:
In a saucepan, bring the cranberry juice, clementines, cloves, and cinnamon sticks up to a boil. Remove the pan from the heat and set aside. This will infuse the tangerines and spices into the juice. Chill the infused juice completely.
In a punch bowl, whisk the chilled juice, soda, and rum together. Chill the punch completely before serving. Serve the punch in a pretty punch bowl and ladle into glasses filled with ice.
