Murrietta’s Well “The Whip” White Blend
This blend has been such a hit for our past Thanksgiving specials that we just had to feature this delicious wine another year. Crafted from a myriad of different white grape varieties, this wine features alluring floral aromatics coupled with ripe pear, yellow apple, apricot, and persimmon flavors on the palate. It is a medium-bodied wine, which allows it to stand up to the more robust elements of the meal, while its crisp and lively acidity serve as a palate-cleanser and make it light enough not to weigh you down during this food-marathon!
Brutocao Pinot Noir
We were really excited to include this wine in this year’s Thanksgiving pack! Hailing from one of the premier growing areas for Pinot Noir in the country (Anderson Valley, Mendocino County), this single-vineyard Pinot Noir exemplifies all that is fantastic in well-made Pinot Noir. The silky, elegant texture complements the fruit and floral flavors on the palate: tart cherry, dried cranberry, red plum, raspberry, dried violets and just the right touch of earthiness and spice all tie together for a wine that is both great on the table or on its own. It’s a pretty rare wine as well; only 1875 cases of this wine were produced.
This wine is especially well-matched if your dressing includes mushrooms, but pairs equally well with a slow-roasted turkey or ham.
Naveran Cava Brut Nature
Sparkling wines like this can be served as a before-dinner aperitif to open up the taste buds, pair very well with many foods, or can even serve as a base for morning mimosas and bellinis! Cava is the sparkling wine traditional to Spain, made from indigenous varieties like Macabeo, Xarel-lo, and Parellada and made in the same traditional method as Champagne. Brut Nature is the driest level of sparkling wine, meaning that is particular adept as a palate cleanser with a very crisp and citrusy palate.
Bailey’s Irish Cream Liqueur
Our inclusion of Bailey’s Irish Cream is another tradition in the Rimann’s Thanksgiving Pack. Great as an after-dinner dessert and coffee accompaniment, this is also one of the most popular coffee add-ins during the chilly winter. Smooth caramel and nutty flavors make this a good accompaniment to pecan or pumpkin pie.
